This Ocah Wrap Conversion has been made using a Purple Lana MilkyWay wrap on the Body of the carrier and on the Sleephood, with a Didymos Natural Hemp indio used for the Shoulder straps, Waist Strap, and Applique detail. This is a Standard Sized Padded Waist Conversion with Harmony Straps.
And with the remaining wrap fabric ? I very lovely Lana Purple Milkyway Ring Sling.
On March 21st I received an email from a Mama asking when we would be taking new Custom orders for our carriers. The Mama explained that she had been looking at Ocah carriers for some time and thought that one of our carriers would work well for her little boy who has some medical issues which means that he has tubes in his abdomen. I duly replied with the information requested and after sending my response I noticed that the Mama had a link to a blog on her signature in her email. I went ahead and clicked on the link and found the amazing story of Camden Moore and his incredible family.
"Camden was born on April 14th, 2011 weighing in at a mighty 6 lbs. 1 oz. and measuring 17.5 inches long. Doctors discovered Camden had been born with only one kidney that had been seriously damaged due to severe vesicoureteral reflux. Camden spent 8 weeks in the NICU after his birth and his final diagnosis is End Stage Renal Failure. He is on peritoneal dialysis nightly but will eventually need a kidney transplant"
I started to read the remarkable story of Baby Camden and his family. I checked in over the next fews days to read back through the archives and to look for updates on how Camden was getting on. I decided that this family were not going to have to wait on a custom slot coming up to get the carrier that they need.
On Friday 23rd March I was sad to read that Camden had been admitted to hospital with serious complications from his condtion. His family are now faced with being apart from each other as he remains in hospital receviving the treamtent that is keeping him alive.
I am here asking people who read this blog and who are a part fo the Ocah Community to help the Moore Family.

This Ocah Conversion has been made using Hoppediz Capetown Wrap and it has a Jersey T-shirt piece chopped up to make the front panel. This is our usual 2 Layer wrap Conversionwith seat darts, the jersey fabric does not have seat darts in order that the design on the front of the fabric can be left intact, instead the Jersey fabric has been gathered very slightly to give it the same shape as the wrap pieces underneath.
This carrier is a Standard Sized Padded Waist conversion with Harmony Straps, Adjustable Sleephood, and Leg padding. The Adjustable sleephood has been made without adding the wooden toggle to the ties. The hood will stay in place when adjusted and in use to support the head of a child and if the hood is to be gathered up when not in use it can be secured by simply tying a knot in the sleephood tie as shown in the pictures below.
The front of the sleephood is also made using the soft Jersy t-shirt fabric. This carrier is reverses to the Capetown Hoppediz Wrap.
This Ocah Wrap Conversion has been made from a stunning Didymos Silk Puder Wrap. It is a Standard Sized Clipee Conversion with Harmony Straps, Adjustable Sleephood, and Leg Padding. This carrier has an additional layer of wrap fabric in the body and it has additional topstitching on the waist.
This Ocah carrier has been made using a Didymos Acqua Nautilus Wrap. This is a Custom sized Toddler Clipee Conversion which has the contiuous fabric buckle waist with no webbing, it has Duo straps, an Adjustable Sleephood, Leg padding, and Arms Out Padding.
This Ocah Wrap Conversion has been made using a Hoppediz Pune Wrap. It is a Inbetween sized Padded Waist Conversion with an extra layer of wrap fabric added to the body of the carrier. This carrier has Harmony Straps, Adjustable Sleephood, Leg padding, and it has additional top stitching on the waist.
I am still totally Smitten with the Oscha Wraps. This Ocah Wrap Conversion has been made using a Oscha Starry Night in the Blue Ice Colourway.
This is a Clipee Conversions with Duo straps, Adjustable Sleephood, leg Padding, and it has the Continuous Webbing Free Buckle waist with Extra top stitching.
