Lime Waves

This Ocah conversion has been made from a Didymos Lime waves wrap and is a Padded waist conversion with Custom Seat darts, Duo straps, and leg padding.  It is a customised size and is reversible with the stripes running in the opposite direction on the back.  The Mama who ordered this conversion is due to have her baby any day so fingers crossed this carrier will be with you before your baby arrives.

  

Jungle Fun !

This stunning Ocah Hybrid Clipee conversion has custom Duo straps, Duo straps and leg padding.  It is  made using a Lana Eidelweiss wrap that has been dyed a lighter shade of Bahama Blue.  The Fabric is  called "Jungle stripe" and is from a collection by Alexander Henry. 

  

Blue Belle

The colours in this Ocah Lena Didymos wrap conversion reminds me of the Stunning Bluebell flowers that are in full bloom in woods near to our home. As a child I used to go to the woods with my family and marvel at the carpet of flowers with their lovely perfume. 

This Ocah wrap conversion has a padded waist strap with seat darts,  Custom Duo straps and an Adjustable sleep hood.  It is Reversible with the stripes running vertically on the front and horizontally on the back, this creates a very different look depending on how the carrier is worn. 

The Wee Pixie.

A lovely Scottish Mama who has....well, a few Ocah carriers ;o)  asked me if I would make a "Pixie" hood for her carrier and sent me some pics of some lovely knitted hats.    After playing around with a few shapes I just went ahead and cut and sewed and I am really happy with the result, so much so that we may be adding the "Pointy hat"  as named by Libby aged 3, to the Ocah custom features.  So back to this conversion.  It is made using a really stunning reversible Lana "Style" wrap.  The wrap is a lovely Dark black colour on one side and a mid grey on the reverse.  The conversion is a Double Hybrid with a Robert Kaufman Print on each side.  It has custom Duo Straps. 

  

Little Rooster

This Ocah conversion is made from a Hoppediz Helsinki wrap & beautifully soft Corduroy fabric.  The Mama who ordered this conversion has updated me about the fabric:

" This fabric is from Westfalenstoffe, actually called Haehnchen (little rooster), and it is one the THE classic Westfalenstoffe designs, which I actually grew up with and remind me of home and of my own childhood." 

It is a Hybrid conversion with padded waist,  seat darts and wrap straps.  It also has custom Adjustable sleep hood, Leg padding and extra stitching on the waist band to make it super sturdy.

 

Leo & the Lucky Girl.

So I received this Leo Rouge  Storchenwiege wrap and Lucky Girls fabric from Claire two days ago and it just needed to get sewn in time for Claires Birthday :O)  so here we have it ! A Padded waist Hybrid conversion with seat darts and custom Duo straps.  A bit or a departure from the Brown that Claire loves so much ;o) but a great carrier for the fun filled months of summer ahead !

The Lucky girl fabric reverses to Leo Rouge wrap fabric to match the straps and so can be worn on the reverse.

Sumptuous Smaragd.

This Diddums Smaragd, or "Emerald"Indio conversion has become a real favorite of mine.  The wrap is such  a stunning colour and it is soooo soft and silky, I just love it ! This conversion has a Padded waist with seat darts and wrap straps. 

Better late that never ? ....... I really hope so !

O.K so I didnt forget that it was Claires birthday but I was convinced that it was today :O(    But no, I got it wrong and Claires birthday was yesterday ! I am so mad at myself for getting it wrong !

So I realised that I havent properly introduced Claire here on the weblog yet.  For anyone that has contacted Ocah in the last 3 months to ask questions or to arrange to have a carrier made it is likely that you would have "spoken" to Claire.  Claire has now been working alongside me for a little over 3 months and WOW ! what a difference she has made :O)  Claire deals with all of the questions that anyone has about Ocah wrap conversions, and like me she really enjoys working closely with people and no matter how long it takes she will answer any questions that anyone can think of ! Claire organises the Custom order slots, manages the Ocah Yahoo group, orders wraps for peoples conversions, confirms orders with customers and arranges payments, before sending me an email with an updated timetable and a copy of the customers order details  - all I have to do is just "click" and there it all is !   Claire  keeps everyone up to date on how their order is progressing too.  But thats not all, oh no no no ! Claire helps me out with ideas, new developments and listens to me rambling on and occassionally moaning too ! and when I am weary of sewing she sends me a cyber hug and tells me what a great job I am doing which always brings a smile to my face.   Recently Claire has stepped in as my Gate keeper, something that I really needed to enable me to not take on too may favours for other people so that I might just be able to spend a little more time with my poor neglected Husband and my wonderfully patient and understanding girls. All this is done whilst looking after her beautiful litle girl and her husband, as well as working Part time in a very busy and demanding job.

But Claire doesnt "just" do my admin for me  - she is now very much at the core of all things Ocah. I have worked so hard to grow and develop my carrier making business and now I can honestly say that I am proud to call Ocah "Our" business ! So everybody, including the "nay sayers" that still exist - keep on watching because there is a whole lot more to come and it just gets better and better. 

My help Mama !

so demands my two little girls when they see me working on "baby ca'ers".  My little girls are Caety and Libby aged 34 months.  They understand that I am making carriers for other people to wear "babies" and that seems to make them happy as they like being carried too.   They both get very excited when I let them help me with my work.   They both know how to get to the shop that sells the cotton thread that I use and they love to help me carry the supplies that I often buy there.  Today I was taking pictures of the two recent carriers that I made, I usually do this when they are asleep but today I was really busy so couldnt wait to do the pictures.   Caety and Libby were both keen to lend me their Dolls to put insde the carriers for taking pictures and then they decided that it should be their turn to take pictures, and so they did...................

I love the fabric on this Ocah Hybrid conversion.  the name of the fabric is "lucky Girl" and it is by Robert Kaufman.   It has a really nice retro feel to it.  The wrap used is a Hoppediz Helsinki with the rails removed.  This conversion is a Hybrid with Seat darts, custom Duo straps, Adjustable sleep hood, Leg padding, and extra top stitching on the waist padding to make it super sturdy.  This Ocah Hybrid conversion reverses to all over plain Helsinki wrap fabric.
