Underground, overground Wombling free...................

I am not sure quite why this carrier reminds me so much of the Wombles, it just does, and it makes me smile.   I think that maybe it is because of this character (Anyone know which one he is ? ) Maybe it is the colour of the cord, it certainly has a retro feel to it.   

 

 

Anywaaaaay, this Ocah carrier is a todderl sized Full buckle carrier that is made using Oragne cord fabric for the straps and the Pixie style hood.  It has fabric from a Slingomama Exlcusive Girasol Amitola wrap for the front of the body and the stripes on the Pixie hood.  The Mama that ordered this carrier loves Geckos and so Ruth added a lovlely Gecko Applique made from hand dyed wrap fabric. Perfect. The Inside of the pixie hood and the reverse of the carrier is made from Orange Taffeta Silk.  This carrier has custom arms out padding.

Thank you to those of you that bought one of our instock carriers this evening.  We still have two remaining carriers ready to ship that are available in our Bigcartel Webstore  here . 

We had a slight glich with the listing in the store, I couldnt work out why the Carrier details weren't showing in each of the listings and then after puzzling my tired brain over it for 2 hours I realised that I had the text settings set to white, the same colour as the background ! so they were there you just couldnt read them ! I have restored the orginal text colour and so all details are available in each listing in the store.

P.S for anyone that has been frustrated by people seemingly putting carriers into their shopping basket and not  going through with purchasing them, Big cartel automatically remove any items from anyone shopping basket if it has been there for 30 minutes without being paid for, so it is always worth checking back if you think you may have missed out on a carrier, you never know it might still be there afterall.

Introducing the New Ocah Harmony Straps.

We knew that we would not be able to re-create the Duo straps on the instock carriers due to the time that they take to put together and sew, but we wanted to offer a more cushy alternative to Wrap straps. On a whim we decided to strip back and  re-work the Duo straps.  What we came up with is the Ocah Harmony strap which is essentially a Duo strap without all the extra top stitching and with a new style of padding.  We sent a sample carrier with the new Harmony straps out to testers and we have been pleasantly suprised by their verdict, they love them ! infact the majority of them told us they like the Harmony straps more than Duo straps ! I have to say we really didn’t see that coming !

Natural Mama Love.

The Mama that ordered this very special Ocah Full Buckle carrier is a member of the Natural Mamas forum and she decided that she wanted her carrier to commemorate being a member and also as an acknowlegement of the friendship and support that she has received from other forum members as she has travelled along her parenting and Babywearing journey. 

The wrap that has been used is a Natural Mamas exclusive Girasol and the embroidery design is  the Natural Mamas orginal online forum graphic.  A special thanks goes to Catherine Carr at IndigoBird Designs not only for giving persmission for us to use the forum graphics (thanks also go for permission from Anne McEwan co-owner of the forum) , but also for creating the enhanced graphics files that we needed to digitize the design for the embroidery.

This Ocah Full Buckle carrier is Toddler sized with an addtional layer of wrap fabric in the middle.  There is additional top stitching on the waist.
